Just a few hours after her rep confirmed her engagement, Scarlett shows off her shiny new ring at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute Gala Monday night.

I'll give her this...she looks like a beaming young woman who just got engaged, wearing a super classic ring. I bet she begged Ryan and her rep to announce the engagement so she could wear the ring that night. I'm a little surprised at the normalcy of this situation. Way to go, ScarJo!
