American Beverage Institute Ad Causes Stir:
The ad warns that there will be "no more champagne toasts at weddings" but having a breathalyzer in every car would be effective at "getting hard-core drunk drivers off our roads."
Lindsay's lawyer, Blair Blerk, issued this statement:
"USA TODAY is idiotic for running such an irresponsible advertisement, suggesting that drinking and driving is some kind of American "tradition" we should protect. Not identifying that this ad was paid for by the liquor industry is profoundly reckless.
Drunk, old, white businessmen, drunk cougars out for girls night out, and drunk wedding parties should be kept off the roads of America. Lindsay Lohan fully endorses ignition interlock devices that have been well-proven to save lives."
Ha ha ha...sucks to be Lindsay! Mug shots are public record, but they do make her sound like an alcoholic. Oh wait, isn't she going to AA? The first step is admitting you have a problem.
Side Note: Gawker points out that they mis-spelled her name in the ad. Double burn...
